Important Things to Consider When You’re Looking for a Viera, FL Air Conditioning Contractor
Whether you need routine maintenance or emergency repair services for your central AC, or you’re thinking about installing a new HVAC system, there’s no doubt that you want to find the most reliable air conditioning contractor. There may be a lot of Viera, FL AC companies, but unfortunately, they aren’t all created equal. That’s why, rather than hiring the first company you find, doing your due diligence and thoroughly researching a few different companies is so important.
How can you tell if a Brevard County air conditioning contractor is reliable? When you’re researching Viera, FL AC companies, here are a few key factors to consider that will help to point you in the right direction.
Customer reviews can tell you a lot about the credibility of any professional, including an air conditioning contractor. That’s why, when you’re researching Viera, FL AC companies, checking out customer reviews is strongly recommended.
Sites like Home Advisor, Yelp, and Google My Business are excellent places to check, as they compile customer reviews from professionals in all types of industries, including air conditioning contractors. Search these sites for AC system maintenance, repair, and installation contractors that service the Brevard County area, and read through the reviews that other customers have shared about their experience working with the companies and the results that they provided.
While it may be true that a new air conditioning contractor can provide a full range of services and may be able to provide reliable results, when it comes to something as important as your central AC, you really shouldn’t take chances. For the best results, look for well-established Viera, FL AC companies that have been servicing the Brevard County community for at least a few years.
The longer a company has been in business, the more hands-on experience they’ll have, which is definitely a major plus; not to mention the fact that when a company has a long-standing history, it suggests that they offer quality results, otherwise, they wouldn’t be in business for very long.
A Valid License and Insurance Coverage
You’re definitely going to want to make sure that the air conditioning contractor you hire is fully licensed and insured. A license confirms that they have received the professional training that is necessary to properly diagnose and repair, maintain, and install central AC systems. It also indicates that they are up-to-date with all of the latest safety and efficiency rules and regulations.
Insurance protects you from having to pay for any unexpected incidents that may occur while the contractor is working on your Brevard County property; damages to your house or any injuries that a technician may sustain, for example.
Don’t just ask an air conditioning contractor if they’re licensed and insured; ask to see proof of both, and confirm that their valid. Reputable Viera, FL AC companies will gladly share this information with you.

Viera is an affluent, master-planned community located in the central coastal region of Brevard County, Florida. It is part of an unincorporated section adjacent to the Melbourne, Florida area. For census purposes, it is divided between the Census Designated Places of Viera East and Viera West. At the 2010 census, Viera East had a population of 10,757, while Viera West had a population of 6,641.
The land was developed by the Viera Company, a subsidiary of A. Duda and Sons, which owned the property formerly known as Cocoa Ranch. On August 4, 1989, they broke ground in this unincorporated area for the new community of Viera. It is derived from viera meaning ‘faith’ in Slovak, in honor of family patriarch Andrew Duda, who immigrated to the United States in 1912 from what became Slovakia. Starting in 1990, the Duda family started developing a new community with a mix of land uses, including a variety of housing types, offices, medical and industrial parks, shopping centers and recreational facilities. Todd Pokrywa was appointed President of The Viera Company effective September 1, 2018. Pokrywa named as the incoming president of The Viera Co., replacing retiring Steve Johnson
The family has donated a total of 622.7 acres (252.0 ha) of land to various organizations. The following lists the acres donated, the year, and what the land was donated for:
The Viera Development of Regional Impact (DRI) was approved in 1990 for about 3,000 acres (1,200 ha), making up Viera East. In 1992 construction began on what would become Viera East. In 1995, a 6,000-acre (2,400 ha) expansion was approved by Brevard County as a Substantial Deviation to the original DRI. Application was made for Substantial Deviation #2 in 2006 and was approved to plan for the final expansion of the community. The 11,567-acre (4,681 ha) expansion will include 5,112 acres (2,069 ha) to be set aside as managed protected land, conservation areas, parks and open space.
