When to Consider Contacting a Melbourne Village, FL AC Installation Service Provider

In Florida, where the weather is hot and humid pretty much all year long, a central air conditioner isn’t a luxury; it’s a necessity. It not only keeps your house cool and comfortable, but it also ensures the safety of your family. As a result of wear-and-tear from regular use and age, however, just like anything else, HVAC systems eventually need to be replaced.

There are distinct signs that indicate that a central AC system is nearing the end of its lifespan and should be replaced. Pay attention to your Brevard County air conditioning system. If you notice any of the following, it’s definitely time to consider talking to a company that specializes in ac installation near me.

Strange Noises

While it’s normal for a properly functioning HVAC system to make some noise, the sound it makes is familiar and is slight; a click when it turns on and a gentle whir while it’s running. When components start to wear down, however, a central air conditioner can alert you that something is amiss by generating unusual sounds; whirring, knocking, thumping, buzzing, or clunking, for instance. Sometimes, simply replacing the damaged components may be all that’s needed, but depending on the source of the unusual sound, the damage may be too significant and costly to fix, and a new Melbourne Village, FL AC installation may be the best bet.

Increased Dust

If it seems like more dust than usual is accumulating on the surfaces in your Brevard County home – shelves, tabletops, chairs, counters, etc. – believe it or not, it could be a sign that your HVAC system needs to be replaced. Leaks in the ductwork could be the cause of the increased dust. Leaky ductwork does more than make a mess; it can also compromise the efficiency of your central air conditioning, which will not only negatively impact your comfort but will cause your utility expenses to spike. Repairing or replacing ductwork is a complex, costly process, so to avoid the aggravation and save money, consider a new Melbourne Village, FL AC installation instead.

It’s Reached or Exceeded Its Life Expectancy

With regular maintenance, a central air conditioning system can last about 10 years. If you’ve had your current HVAC system for a decade or more, or if it’s coming up to having it for that long, you should definitely think about contacting a Melbourne Village, FL AC installation professional to discuss replacement. Even if it’s still working okay, eventually (and probably sooner than later), you’re going to start having problems; components will start wearing down and the efficiency of the system will be reduced. A reputable Melbourne Village, FL AC installation company will be able to replace your existing antiquated HVAC system with a new, high-efficiency system.

Some information about Melbourne Village, FL

Melbourne Village is a town in Brevard County, Florida. The population was 662 at the 2010 United States Census. It is part of the Palm Bay–Melbourne–Titusville Metropolitan Statistical Area, and is the smallest incorporated municipality in Brevard County.

The area that is now the town was previously used for raising cattle. Aerial photographs from circa 1943 of the area show some native oak hammocks, pine lowlands, and cleared areas for cattle grazing.

Virginia Wood, Elizabeth Nutting, and Margaret Hutchinson came from Dayton, Ohio, following the end of World War II to the area of Melbourne, Florida. Their goal was to build a community from scratch for people wanting to establish a lifestyle that was simple and close to nature. This social experiment was an “intentional community”, a response to the hardships of the Great Depression. The founders were influenced by the concepts and teachings of Ralph Borsodi, who also lived in Melbourne Village from 1950 to 1960. Many early residents cleared their land, built their own houses, and ran small home businesses, from organic gardening to raising chinchillas, in order to help support themselves and their families. There was a community store run on the honor system. Early families overcame the lack of construction materials for civilian use immediately following World War II by purchasing and relocating surplus military barracks from nearby bases. Two of these barracks still remain, one being the Original Melbourne Village Hall and the other a private residence.

The Town of Melbourne Village was incorporated in 1957 out of concern of being annexed by Melbourne or included in the subsequent incorporation of West Melbourne.
