3 Crucial Questions to Ask When You’re Interviewing Viera, FL HVAC Contractors
Your home’s HVAC system has been acting up and you need to have it repaired. You’ve searched for “HVAC companies near me” online and you’ve found several companies that service the Brevard County area. You don’t want to hire the first contractor you find, however; if you want the highest quality, most reliable results, you’re going to want to speak to a few different companies before you decide which one to hire.
When you speak with Viera, FL HVAC contractors, here’s a look at some crucial questions you should consider asking. The answers to these questions will help you determine which HVAC technician you can count on to provide high-quality results.
How many years have you been in business?
While yes, there is a chance that a new Viera, FL HVAC contractor will deliver reliable results, with something as vital as your Brevard County home’s heating and cooling system, you really shouldn’t take any chances.
That’s why hiring a well-established, well-known, and highly-regarded HVAC technician that has been serving Brevard County homeowners for several years is highly recommended. Why? Well, because the longer HVAC companies near you have been in business, the more hands-on experience they’ll have, and they’ll draw on that experience when they’re working on your project. Plus, if a company has been around for a while, that’s a good sign they offer reliable results; otherwise, they wouldn’t be in business for long.
Are you insured?
Make sure that any of the HVAC companies near you that you’re considering hiring are fully insured, and check to make sure that their policies are valid.
Repairing a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system is complex, and there are a lot of things that can go wrong; the contractor could potentially damage your Brevard County property, or they could sustain an injury, for example.
In the event that an issue arises, you definitely don’t want to get hit with the added expenses, which is why it’s so important to make an HVAC technician is fully insured; they should have liability coverage and if the company employs a crew, they should have workers’ compensation coverage, too. A credible Viera, FL HVAC contractor will share proof of their insurance with you.
Do you have references?
Past clients can tell you a lot about a Viera, FL HVAC contractor’s credibility, so make sure to ask for references. Take the time to get in touch with those references, too. Inquire about the experience they had with the contractor, ask if they were satisfied with the results, and whether or not they would recommend hiring the technician.
If any of the HVAC companies near you won’t furnish references, or if you have a hard time getting in touch with the references that they do provide, proceed with caution. A reputable HVAC technician will be more than happy to provide you with real references that you will be able to contact with ease.

Viera is an affluent, master-planned community located in the central coastal region of Brevard County, Florida. It is part of an unincorporated section adjacent to the Melbourne, Florida area. For census purposes, it is divided between the Census Designated Places of Viera East and Viera West. At the 2010 census, Viera East had a population of 10,757, while Viera West had a population of 6,641.
The land was developed by the Viera Company, a subsidiary of A. Duda and Sons, which owned the property formerly known as Cocoa Ranch. On August 4, 1989, they broke ground in this unincorporated area for the new community of Viera. It is derived from viera meaning ‘faith’ in Slovak, in honor of family patriarch Andrew Duda, who immigrated to the United States in 1912 from what became Slovakia. Starting in 1990, the Duda family started developing a new community with a mix of land uses, including a variety of housing types, offices, medical and industrial parks, shopping centers and recreational facilities. Todd Pokrywa was appointed President of The Viera Company effective September 1, 2018. Pokrywa named as the incoming president of The Viera Co., replacing retiring Steve Johnson
The family has donated a total of 622.7 acres (252.0 ha) of land to various organizations. The following lists the acres donated, the year, and what the land was donated for:
The Viera Development of Regional Impact (DRI) was approved in 1990 for about 3,000 acres (1,200 ha), making up Viera East. In 1992 construction began on what would become Viera East. In 1995, a 6,000-acre (2,400 ha) expansion was approved by Brevard County as a Substantial Deviation to the original DRI. Application was made for Substantial Deviation #2 in 2006 and was approved to plan for the final expansion of the community. The 11,567-acre (4,681 ha) expansion will include 5,112 acres (2,069 ha) to be set aside as managed protected land, conservation areas, parks and open space.
