My safety shut off had stuck and failed so a clogged drain pipe had gone unnoticed for a couple... weeks. After clearing the pipe I noticed a small amount of mold in my unit. I called and the receptionist scheduled a pull and clean for the coil and blower for $450. Almost half the price of other quotes without pushy sales tactics. When the technician arrived he was knowledgeable and efficient. This gave my wife peace of mind and I will definitely use A-Best for anything I can't do myself in the future.read more

Had an ac issue during peak summer time. Steve the technician was here within 2 hours or less. Very... nice guy and explained all of the issues at hand and the causes. Walked me through the entire repair. Capacitor was not performing up to voltage standards and was affecting my fan motor and draw on the compressor. Replaced it at a decent price ( yes I could have done it myself and saved a few bucks ) but with his knowledge and professional diagnosis and he explained everything in detail with readouts etc.. it was worth it. I think he will be my go to on further issues.read more

We woke up to no AC & blacked out thermostat, called a few places and the only place to pick up was... A Best Air & are we glad they did! My air conditioner quit working at 3:30pm, I called A-Best and Sam came out at 5:00pm. This was... TRULY the best experience I have ever had with an air conditioner company, from calling the office to meeting Sam. It was so great to talk to the office girl, she was so nice and kind, like she actually enjoys working. . . Sam was so funny, courteous and really knows his stuff. Sam at A-Best really helped me out, more than once. They replaced my entire worn out A/C system at... home. They showed up early, were quick, professional and really nice. Price and service were excellent. I also had to call them out on a weekend when a part in my business A/C went out. They were there within an hour on a Saturday and got my air back to work fast. OMG for sure the best experience I ever had with ANY contractor. First of all from the moment their... customer service operator (Meredith)picked up the phone, it was an absolute delight. She was patient, understanding, knowledgable, polite, very professional and personable at the same time and she was more concerned with helping me with my A/C issue than she was in getting my money. She walked me through a troubleshooting strategy to temporarily isolate the problem until Sam the technician arrived. By the way, Meredith did give me a 2 hour window of an ETA (as almost all other companies do) for Sam between 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM but UNLIKE all the other companies, Sam literally called me at 5:30 PM and was at my door promptly at 6:00 PM. I failed to mention that my HVAC was installed by Palm Bay Air and Heat on March 9, 2018...YES March 2018 I paid them $4,000 in cash for a new unit that malfunctioned a year and a half later so naturally that was the company I called first at 3:00 PM only to be lied to and then told that because I didn't have a maintenance contract in place that I would have to pay $59.95 with a credit card PRIOR to them even scheduling a service call which they couldn't guarantee until 9:00 PM and because it was past work hours, I would be paying an overtime rate. A-Best Air and Heat has a A+ rating on BBB and that is a big deal. This is an honest, reliable, professional and most importantly, DEPENDABLE. My A/C is now perfect thanks to A-Best. I did purchase a maintenance contract w/A-Best and would recommend ALL FAMILY AND FRIENDS to use ONLY A-BEST. Thank you Meredith and thank you Sam and thank you A-BEST! AAAAAAA+++++++++++read more

Highly recommended!Jeremy was great! He was friendly, answered all of our questions, and helped us... make an informed decision without any pressure. After he left we did our research and made an easy choice.Our under-sized 12 year old A/C was running non-stop and barely able to keep up. Jeremy first quoted us for cleaning the coils and what it would cost if there were freon leaks. Our system used the expensive (and not environmental friendly) old freon. Even after cleaning the coils there was still a risk of having greater issues and leaks.It made more sense to replace our aging unit for something efficient, rather dumping a lot of money to keep our old AC alive. 10 yr warranty if you register the unit on the manufacturer website. Looking forward to seeing the impact on our electric bill in the coming months.read more

Mr. Wecker,We regret the problems you are experiencing with your air conditioning & heating... system. In June 2009, we recommended and installed a name brand with a good reputation for quality and reliability. A-Best Air & Heat has, for the 28 years, built a reputation on honesty and integrity and we continually strive for 100% customer satisfaction. You have been one of our loyal customers since June 2009 and we wish that you had brought your concerns to our attention sooner. The issues you had during the first year from date of installation were covered under our one-year labor warranty, as well as parts covered under the manufacturer’s warranty. You were waived all service calls, labor, refrigerant and parts during that period. Your parts only, will continue to be covered under manufacturer’s warranty in its entirety. Unfortunately, there are fees associated with handling, shipping, labor and refrigerant that must be passed on the homeowner. At least on one occasion we changed out a part under warranty that failed due to poor maintenance, a dirty filter. Regarding your recent experience on 12-10-12, it was recommended by our technician that a leak check be done to determine why the system was low on refrigerant. Our original copy of that invoice reflects your initials declining the leak check. While talking with Mrs. Wecker, on 2-14-13 to set up another service call, it was highly recommended that the leak check be done and she agreed. The technician found a leak in the evaporator coil, and he changed out the part only covered under warranty. Again, service call, labor, refrigerant and handling fees are not covered. As a courtesy, we did waive the service call and after another call to the office from Mrs. Wecker, we discounted the invoice another $25. We feel that we have fulfilled all of our obligations and have addressed any “known” concerns in a timely manner.
